Ein genauerer Blick
This is a soft fabric tarot and oracle card storage pouch designed with a playful rose-and-rabbit motif. The exterior is cut from a deep black cotton fabric printed with a scattered all-over pattern: cream-white cartoon rabbits with upright ears and rosy cheeks, dressed in vivid scarlet red capes or dresses, interspersed with fully opened red and coral rose blooms in various tones, smaller rosebuds, and delicate olive-green and bronze-toned leaf sprigs and tiny white florets. The print motifs are randomly oriented across the surface, so rabbits and roses appear upside down and sideways at different points, giving the piece a lively, non-directional layout. The overall visual style blends storybook illustration charm with a slightly vintage botanical sensibility.
The bag uses a wrap-and-tie construction. When closed, the black patterned fabric folds around the card deck in a rectangular envelope form, and a bright red flat cotton cord wraps around the body multiple times, threading through a small channel and finishing with a glossy red round bead attached to a tiny metal jump ring at the cord end. The cord is doubled, so two strands extend from the bead, allowing it to be knotted or looped to secure the contents. The edges are cleanly finished with neat, close stitching that follows the rectangular outline, and the folded flap sits flush against the front panel with no visible gap, indicating careful alignment of the patterned panels.
When unfolded, the pouch reveals a long flat interior panel in solid scarlet red cotton, with the patterned black fabric forming the outer shell and the red fabric acting as the lining. The contrast between the saturated red interior and the black exterior is sharp and intentional. The interior panel is wide enough to accommodate cards laid in a single row, and the black patterned flap folds over the lower portion to enclose them. The fabric appears to be a medium-weight woven cotton with a matte, slightly textured surface and no sheen, showing soft pliability and gentle creasing where it folds, typical of a natural cotton textile rather than a coated or synthetic material.
Functionally, this is a soft-sided card carrier intended for tarot, oracle, and Lenormand card decks. It is dimensioned to hold up to 78 cards, including standard Waite-style, Thoth-style, and oracle decks, and is sized to accommodate card measurements of approximately 12 cm in length, 7 cm in width, and 3 to 3.5 cm in thickness, with the flexible cotton construction adapting to slightly different deck thicknesses. Because individual charm attachments on the drawstring bead may vary slightly, small variations in the hanging bead detail can occur.
The construction details include two-tone fabric pairing of a printed black cotton outer shell and a solid red cotton inner lining, both identified as cotton, with the drawstring cord also in a matching bright red. The pattern density is moderate and evenly distributed, with no visible fading, ink bleed, or misregistration in the print, and the black ground remains consistently deep across the panels. The stitching lines sit close to the edges without puck
