This wire-wrapped pendant follows a celestial and astronomical design language, built around a central circular motif that reads as a stylized star, sun, or planetary body radiating energy. The overall silhouette is round and symmetrical in its outer frame, while the internal wirework introduces deliberate asymmetry that gives the piece an organic, one-of-a-kind character. Its style blends space-themed symbolism with a bohemian handcrafted aesthetic and a subtly antique, steampunk-leaning undertone produced by the aged metal finish.
The pendant is constructed in aged brass, featuring a warm, antique bronze-brown tone with a muted, low-luster surface rather than a bright polished shine. The finish carries slight tonal variation across the wires, with darker recesses where the metal coils overlap and lighter, warmer highlights along the raised edges and rounded beads, creating depth and an intentionally weathered, hand-worked appearance. The metal components include a main outer circular frame, concentric inner rings, fine-gauge coiled wire wraps, radiating linear wire rays, and small spherical brass beads distributed around the ring and clustered along the lower arc.
At the center sits the main stone, a blue-gray moonstone measuring 6mm in diameter, bezel-held within a tightly wound spiral of brass wire that forms a layered, rose-like setting. The moonstone displays a translucent blue-gray body color with a soft internal sheen and flashes of luminous blue and pale iridescence when light passes across it, giving the center an eye-like, glowing quality that anchors the entire composition. Around this core, multiple parallel rings of coiled wire create a stepped, orbital texture, and fine wire spikes fan outward in irregular groups, evoking rays of light, cosmic energy, or the rays of a distant star.
The pendant is finished at the top with a wire-wrapped bail formed from several turns of brass wire, creating a sturdy loop that transitions directly from the body of the pendant into a neck cord. Along the outer ring, small polished brass balls are seated at intervals, with a denser grouping of three to four beads along the lower edge, balancing the visual weight of the bail above. The cord itself is black leather, round in cross-section with a smooth, subtly glossy surface and a fine tight weave-like texture typical of braided or wrapped leather, providing a dark, minimalist contrast that keeps attention on the metalwork and the blue-gray stone.
In terms of scale, the 6mm moonstone sets the proportional reference for the whole piece: the concentric wire setting measures roughly three to four stone diameters across, and the complete outer frame extends several times the diameter of the central gem, making it a medium-sized statement pendant rather than a small charm. The wirework combines thicker structural wires forming the frame and rays with much finer coiled wire used for binding, wrapping, and decorative fills, and the transitions between them are visible as tight, deliberate hand-formed turns rather than machine-uniform patterns
