Deep recessed channels frame each scale in a grid-like pattern, with a spine-like ridge line running through the centre.

The green shifts from saturated chartreuse to olive, brighter yellow on the raised scales and darker in the grooves, with a soft semi-gloss sheen above matte valleys.
