This crystal landscape ornament is composed of natural black tourmaline and clear to milky white quartz crystal points, hand arranged to create a miniature mountain range with overlapping ridges and peaks. The black tourmaline pieces present as rough, striated prismatic blocks with a deep, saturated black color and a subtle vitreous sheen along their vertically striated faces, giving the appearance of layered mountain cliffs. The white quartz components range from slender, single-terminated prisms to blunt, faceted points and a small cluster formation whose base carries warm pale peach to orange-brown mineral staining, contrasting with the transparent to cloudy white body of the crystals. Each quartz piece exhibits natural internal veils, faint milky zoning, surface frosting, and minor natural imperfections, consistent with untreated natural crystal material.
In the assembled display, several quartz points of varying heights are interspersed among the taller black tourmaline monoliths, arranged in staggered rows so that the peaks rise at different levels to produce a receding, multi-layered skyline effect. The tallest black formations stand centrally and toward the rear, while smaller quartz points and a few clustered crystal bases sit at the front edges, creating depth from front to back within a compact circular footprint. The point terminations vary from sharp pyramidal tips to blunter, more rounded apexes, and the quartz ranges from near water-clear to translucent white with visible internal fractures and cloudiness that catch and scatter light.
