This is a small hand-carved wooden figurine of an anthropomorphic lion, sculpted in a contemporary new Chinese style that pairs a traditional robe silhouette with a playful, toy-like collectible form. It is carved from linden, also known as basswood, and left with its faceted knife-cut surfaces rather than sanded smooth. The oversized head, layered golden-amber mane, and deep charcoal robe give it a warm, quietly graphic presence.

- Oversized chibi-proportioned head framed by a golden-amber mane
- Deep charcoal knee-length robe with white frog-button dashes
- Two-tone lower garment split between black and blue-grey

Type: Hand-carved wooden figurine
Dimensions / Size: Approximately 3.9 in (10 cm) tall
Materials: Linden (basswood) with matte, low-sheen paint
Finish / color: Matte; golden-amber, cream, charcoal black, blue-grey

It stands unsupported on its flat-footed base, so it can sit on a desk, shelf, or windowsill edge. At roughly palm height, it works well alone or grouped with other small carved figures.

On a work desk as a small focal point.
On a bookshelf among art and design books.
In a collector's display cabinet.
On a studio shelf for a touch of color.
On a bedside table or reading nook shelf.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid water and solvents.
Keep out of direct sunlight to slow paint fading.
Store away from damp areas and rough surfaces that could chip edges.

Because each figure is carved by hand, natural tool marks, slight facet irregularities, and minor surface variations are part of the piece rather than flaws, giving every figure subtle individuality.
