Item details

Color pattern: Striped
Decoration material: Wood
Finish: Matte
Material: Wood
Theme: Animals

Hand-carved from wood, this small dog figurine is a folk-art minimalist portrait of a curly-coated breed with a soft, toy-like, chibi character. It stands as one compact figure: a plump rounded body on four short stubby legs, a broad blocky head, a short snout, and exaggerated proportions. The carving is left visibly tooled, with dense irregular gouge and knife facets across the face, muzzle, hanging ears, and paws that mimic a curly coat and catch light unevenly over honey-tan to warm wheat-brown wood.

Dense chipped facets mimic a curly, fluffy coat
Carved white beanie with a speckled heathered grey pom-pom
Black and off-white Breton stripes wrap the torso and all four legs

Type: Wood-carved animal figurine
Materials: Wood
Finish / color: Matte natural wood with no glossy varnish; white knit-look hat; deep black and off-white stripes

The hat is worked in larger, flatter chisel planes so it reads as folded knit, pulled low over the brow with the ears emerging at either side. Small enough to cup in one hand, it suits a shelf, desk, or mantel and sits comfortably beside other carved pieces.

Occasions:
A quiet shelf or windowsill companion
A desk or study accent
A gift for a dog lover
A collectible for folk-art and woodcarving fans

Care:
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth
Keep out of direct sun and away from damp
Avoid water, solvents, and abrasive cleaners

Because each figure is hand-carved and hand-painted, small variations in facets, tone, and stripe edges are natural.
