This is a pair of hand-knitted gloves designed for both men and women, worked in pure wool yarn. The knit construction features elaborate cable work: raised braided cables run in vertical columns down the back of the hand, and a prominent heart-shaped or leaf-shaped cable motif is centered on the back panel, formed by crossing stitches that create a rounded, dimensional lattice. Between and beside the cable columns, panels of simpler stockinette or reverse-stockinette stitch show the blue-and-yellow yarn clearly, and the cuff is finished with a classic ribbed elastic stitch that alternates raised and recessed vertical wales for a snug, stretchy wrist opening. The edges are softly rounded with no hard seams, and the overall silhouette is chunky, thick, and plump, indicating a heavy-gauge wool yarn and generous stitch volume.
Two construction variants are shown. One is a full-finger glove with an integrated, separately knitted thumb gusset that projects from the side of the palm in stockinette stitch, shaped into a rounded capsule form that joins smoothly into the main body of the glove. The other is a half-finger or fingerless version in which the individual finger tubes terminate early, leaving the fingertips exposed while the hand remains covered, so the finger openings appear as short knitted sleeves ending in the same two-tone yarn. Both variants share the same cable back, ribbed cuff, and variegated colorway, and both are shaped anatomically with a tapered cuff, a wider palm section, and rounded finger ends.
The craftsmanship shows hand-knitted character: stitch sizes vary very slightly from one cable to the next, and small irregularities in tension and fiber fuzz along the crossings confirm that the pieces were produced by hand rather than on a knitting machine. The cables are tightly and evenly crossed with no dropped or split stitches visible, the ribbing is consistent, and the thumb attachment is worked cleanly into the hand without visible joining seams, so the finished fabric reads as a continuous, seamless-looking tube.
