A high-gloss polish leaves the beads smooth to the touch, while the translucent purple shifts from light lavender to deep violet. Many beads carry reddish-brown, rust, or ochre inclusions that create a cloudy, phantom-like depth, with fine white cotton-like inclusions, subtle ice cracks, and minor surface pits showing through the stone.
