The foundation band is edged with a scalloped, ruffled vintage-style lace trim in an ivory-cream tone, featuring raised embroidered rose motifs and openwork floral detailing that gives the crown its soft, frilly silhouette. The lace follows the curve of the headband and drapes slightly at the sides, creating a bonnet-like frame around the top of the head when worn.
The dominant decorative elements are multiple bows in two distinct materials. Large bows of dusty-rose pink satin ribbon, with a smooth, glossy face and fluid drape, are positioned at the upper sides and center of the band; their tails are cut in angled notched ends and some are finished with a small white faux-pearl bead stitched at the knot.
