Item details

Material: Metal, Wood, and Ceramic
Mounting type: Tabletop

This steampunk-style desk lamp is a handcrafted piece built from a repurposed vintage carburetor, mounted on a solid wood base. Its dark, aged bronze or gunmetal finish with a matte, textured surface gives it a cast or forged look, blending industrial mechanics with functional lighting.

The carburetor body features complex, asymmetrical forms with ports, flanges, and visible seams, topped by a decorative spark plug with a white ceramic insulator and metal hex nut. The ceramic bears partially legible text reading "CHAMPION" and "RC6ZWP". A vintage-style Edison bulb with an intricate filament sits inside a protective cage of curved metal bands and knurled thumb nuts, supported by two cylindrical rods. The rectangular wood base has a rich dark brown stain and visible grain, with a smooth satin finish.

Key features:
- Repurposed carburetor body with aged metal finish
- Spark plug accent with ceramic insulator
- Edison bulb in protective metal cage

Type: Desk lamp
Dimensions: Base 15 cm by 10 cm; total height 20 cm (includes 5 cm spark plug assembly)
Materials: Metal, solid wood
Finish: Dark aged bronze or gunmetal, matte textured; wood with dark brown stain

This lamp uses an E27 screw-base socket and casts a warm, amber-toned glow when lit, highlighting the metallic textures and creating dramatic shadows. Its compact size fits easily on a desk or shelf, and the industrial design pairs well with other steampunk or vintage decor pieces.

Occasions:
- Desk or workbench accent lighting
- Bookshelf or side table display

Care:

This piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, so small variations in texture and detail are part of its character.
