This is a vintage-inspired Alice in Wonderland rabbit figurine, a handcrafted decorative piece standing approximately 45 centimeters in height. The overall design draws on Victorian storybook aesthetics, blending whimsical fantasy elements with a slightly gothic, theatrical character. The figure is built around a central wooden box body, which serves as both the torso and a functional storage compartment, flanked by plush, shaggy limbs and crowned with an elaborate headpiece.
The head features a pale, porcelain-like face with large, luminous red eyes, soft pink blush on the cheeks, and delicate painted features. Framing the face is a mass of curly, honey-blonde hair, partially covered by a white lace bonnet with ruffled edges. Atop the head sits a tall, black top hat with a wide, slightly upturned brim. The hat is decorated with hand-painted white dot and line motifs, a harlequin-patterned band in black, gold, and red, and a cluster of miniature red-capped mushrooms with white spots nestled among green moss-like flocking. A small, white plush rabbit figurine with a golden ribbon bow is attached to the hat, alongside a spray of feathers in muted green, peach, and red tones. The hat is designed to be removable.
The rabbit's ears are a prominent feature, large and elongated, covered in soft, taupe-colored plush fur. The inner ear surfaces are lined with pale pink fabric and edged with delicate white lace trim. The ears are posable, allowing them to be bent and shaped into different positions. Around the neck, the figure wears a layered ruff collar composed of black satin ribbon bows, black-and-white striped ribbon, and multiple tiers of white lace and pale pink tulle, creating a voluminous, Victorian-style jabot. This lace collar is also removable.
The torso is constructed from a rectangular wooden box with a natural wood grain finish on the sides. The front of the box is adorned with an ornate oval medallion. This medallion features a central illustration of a vintage-style key with an ornate bow, set against a pale background and framed by concentric rings of lavender pom-pom trim, white pearl beads, and cream-colored pleated ribbon. The outer edge of the medallion is finished with a wide band of white lace and silver-edged ribbon. A small, dusty-pink lace butterfly embellishment is attached near the top of the oval frame. The wooden box opens via two small, antique-bronze metal latches on the sides, revealing a hollow interior lined with natural, light-colored wood. The interior edges of the box doors are painted with a bright pink border dotted with teal accents and small floral motifs.
The limbs are made from the same shaggy, taupe plush material as the ears. The arms are relatively short and end in stylized paws painted with bold black-and-white stripes and tipped with small, rounded pink pads. The legs are similarly striped in black and white, ending in elongated, curved feet that give the figure a stylized, almost cartoonish stance. The back of the figure shows the wooden box structure more clearly, with a panel of white floral lace overlaying the wood, accented by small pink pom-poms and trailing black ribbon ties. The overall construction shows visible handcrafted details, including slight variations in texture and finish that are characteristic of artisanal work.
