The binder mechanism is a Krause-type silver ring binder in an 11-ring configuration, with a 11-ring diameter specification. The ring spacing accommodates the standard M5 insert width, and the spine construction is reinforced with a leather backing so the cover lays flat when opened. Closure is achieved with a detachable lavender elastic band that wraps around the cover width, threaded through a stitched alligator leather keeper tab positioned at the center of the front face.
