This is an M5-format bifold leather planner cover built to a 67 mm width specification, finished in a three-color leather combination of black, glacier blue, and elephant grey. The exterior shell is cut from black Barenia leather, a smooth, tight-grained full-grain leather with a soft satin sheen rather than a high-gloss finish; under direct light the surface shows subtle directional highlights and a fine, almost imperceptible natural grain with gentle micro-creasing near the fold and along the spine, consistent with Barenia's characteristic supple, slightly waxy hand. The cover presents as a clean rectangle with softly rounded corners, a slim overall profile, and a visible outer panel joined by a vertical stitched seam that divides the front face into two panels, giving the cover a structured, understated silhouette with bilateral symmetry when laid flat.
Construction is entirely hand-executed: the exterior is hand saddle-stitched with a contrasting light cream or off-white waxed thread in an even, slanted saddle-stitch pattern running parallel to every edge and along the internal panel seams. The stitching is dense and uniform, with consistent stitch length, consistent angle, and tightly set thread sitting flush in the leather without fraying or slack. The double-sided pricking technique means the stitch holes were pierced from both faces, producing clean, symmetrical perforations on the exterior as well as on the interior lining. All raw cut edges are sealed with edge paint in a dark, matte-to-satin finish that is applied smoothly and evenly, sealing the leather layers into a single unified edge line with no visible delamination, bubbling, or uneven paint buildup.
