This is a handmade fabric notebook cover designed to fit an A6 planner. The primary material is a thickened cotton fabric, which provides a soft, tactile feel. The exterior is constructed from a patchwork of various cotton fabrics, with the main body featuring a classic red and white gingham check pattern. The front cover is elaborately decorated with multiple appliqué patches, including a red patch with a white lace border depicting a girl in a red dress, a yellow gingham patch adorned with a blue gingham fabric bow, and a blue gingham patch featuring a pair of three-dimensional crocheted red cherries with green leaves. Additional embellishments include two decorative buttons—one yellow with a floral design and one pink with a floral design—and a small patch with a red heart pattern. Another patch shows a girl holding a large red heart, with the text "The girl in the red dress" printed below it.
The back cover continues the red and white gingham pattern and features a single, centered appliqué patch: a red heart with a white bow design, set on a white fabric square with a scalloped edge. A closure strap, made from the same red and white gingham fabric, extends from the back cover and fastens to the front with a round, metallic magnetic snap. A small fabric loop is attached to the top edge of the spine for easy carrying or attachment.
The interior is fully lined with fabric. The left inside panel is made from a blue and white plaid cotton and includes a storage pocket with a white lace trim at the top. This pocket is further decorated with a small patch showing a girl in a red dress. The right inside panel is made from a yellow and white plaid cotton and also features a storage pocket, this one trimmed with a red and white patterned ribbon and decorated with a patch depicting a girl in a yellow dress. The central spine area is lined with the red and white gingham fabric and houses a six-ring metal binder mechanism, which holds a stack of blank white paper refills. The rings are silver-toned and appear to be made of metal.
