This shamanic hand drum brings together natural materials and handcrafted detail in a design rooted in ritual tradition. The warm golden-brown cowhide head, framed by a dark leather border, is balanced by the cool blues and earthy tones of the fiber lacing and hanging ornaments.

The drum’s back features a radial lacing system of coarse, light beige natural fiber cord that converges at a central hub wrapped in turquoise, royal blue, red, and white threads, forming a star-like geometric pattern. Five tassels hang from the lower rim, each made with braided cords in teal and blue, natural feathers in mottled brown, grey, and white, and thin strips of iridescent blue ribbon or metallic thread. Two hand-pounded beaters are included, each with a pale, smooth animal bone handle and a fur-covered striking head in a gradient of grey, silver, and white. One beater carries a small antique brass bell near the fur base; the other has a handle wrapped in greenish-brown twine set with two dark, polished gemstones. Loose, frayed yarns in olive, rust, and cream finish the bottom ends of the bone handles.
