This hand-held shamanic drum is a 28-centimeter (11-inch) circular frame instrument, crafted with a taut membrane of first-layer yellow cowhide and a light wooden hoop. Its earthy, traditional aesthetic combines natural leather, fur, twine, and feathers, with a warm amber-brown playing surface that shows subtle tonal variations and faint markings for an authentic, organic feel.

The drum’s interior features an intricate webbing of thick jute or hemp twine, accented by a finer red thread woven into a geometric mesh. Small antique-brass colored bells sit at the web’s convergence points, while a dense ring of moss green, deep burgundy, and pale cream fibers anchors the center. A band of soft grey and white rabbit fur lines the upper frame edge, and five decorative strands hang from the bottom, each with a brass bell, dark spherical beads, and a mottled brown, tan, and black feather.
