This necklace features a vintage-inspired braided cord chain paired with a heart-shaped art glass pendant, presenting a warm, antique-gold color story throughout. The piece is composed of two primary materials: a soft, flexible multi-strand braided chain in metallic gold and coppery-bronze tones, and a pendant made of glass (liuli-style art glass). All metal components visible—the triangular connector and the small beaded accent ring—carry an aged brass or antique-gold finish that harmonizes with the warm palette of the chain and the pendant's decoration.
The chain itself is constructed from numerous fine cords, each a smooth, tightly twisted filament with a subtle silky sheen, gathered and worked into a rounded braided form with a soft, rope-like texture. Interwoven among these cords are strands of tiny glass seed beads in a bright amber-gold shade, strung in continuous runs that spiral and repeat along the length of the braid, creating alternating passages of glossy beaded sparkle against the more subdued satin finish of the cords. The braid reads as a dense, flexible tube with a repeating plaited rhythm, and its density suggests substantial drape when worn.
At the junction of chain and pendant sits a triangular, shield-shaped metal connector with an antique brass patina. Its front face is framed by a raised border of minute beaded granulation, and a small faceted amber-colored stone is set at its center, catching light with warm orange-gold flashes. Beneath this connector hangs a small ring embellished with tiny amber-gold beads, through which the pendant's integral glass loop passes. The pendant's bail is formed from clear glass, fused as a single continuous piece with the heart below, giving the impression that the heart is suspended from a transparent handle.
The heart pendant is the focal point, executed in glossy, highly polished glass with a smooth, rounded, three-dimensional cabochon-like body. Its base tone is a deep, near-black midnight blue visible along the rim, over which a gold foil ground is layered with swirling, feathered, flame-like patterns in a gradient of yellow, orange, and red—the iridescent decorative effect characteristic of art glass work. These organic, marbled plumes spread asymmetrically across the surface, with the brighter yellow-gold cores fading into deep red tips, and small coppery-rose flecks scattered through the pattern. The surface is mirror-smooth, producing crisp specular highlights that move across the curves, and the underlying gold layer gives the piece a luminous, glowing depth.
