This is a luxury court-style pendant created by hand using metal wire-wrapping techniques, combining a large polished central stone with an elaborate surrounding frame. The centerpiece is a substantial teardrop, or pear-shaped cabochon, cut with a smooth high-domed surface and a broad flat face that carries a strong glossy, wet-looking finish. Its coloration is a rich ocean blue, ranging from deep indigo and navy through medium azure to pale sky-blue, overlaid with organic white and creamy swirls, clouds, and web-like mottling. A distinctive pale, softly outlined oval formation appears near the upper-right region of the stone, surrounded by darker blue fields that shift in saturation across the surface, giving the gem a layered, dimensional depth and natural banding quality.
The stone is secured in a densely constructed metal wire setting built entirely from hand-manipulated wire. Directly hugging the cabochon edge is a tightly coiled, rope-like bezel wrap, followed by a layered lattice of openwork scrollwork, curls, spirals, and looping filigree that radiate outward into an ornate frame. The wirework is executed in a warm antique-gold or aged brass tone with an oxidized, darkened finish in the recessed areas, which accentuates the depth of the curls and produces contrast between bright polished highlights and shadowed inner lines. The overall silhouette of the frame is a symmetrical crown-like or fleur-de-lis form: wider at the sides, tapering upward toward the bail and downward to a rounded, pointed lower finial, creating a regal, theatrical, period-inspired aesthetic reminiscent of baroque and rococo jewelry design.
Embellishing the frame is a symmetrical arrangement of accent elements. Small, round, lustrous white beads resembling freshwater pearls are set at intervals along the perimeter, each cradled in tiny wire nests or prong-like wraps. Interspersed with these are clear, faceted, teardrop-shaped stones, each individually encased in a coiled wire cage, positioned along the lower arc, the side lobes, and the bail. A further accent at the top consists of a larger pearl paired with a faceted pear stone held in wire scrolls, flanked by small metallic beads that add texture and micro-detail. Additional tiny metal granulation beads and ball accents are scattered through the filigree, producing a granular, jewel-studded surface effect that catches light from multiple angles.
The bail is fully integrated into the design rather than attached as a separate element: it rises as a small, decorated tower of wirework topped by a single pearl, giving the pendant a coherent, sculptural vertical axis that runs from the bail down through the apex of the cabochon to the pointed lower finial. The wire gauge varies visibly, with heavier structural strands forming the outer boundary and finer wires used for the decorative coils and micro-wraps around each bead and stone, indicating careful layering and tension control.
