Wood finish: Lacquered/varnished and Untreated/natural

This is a large, oval-shaped enclosure crafted entirely from bamboo, designed for keeping singing insects such as katydids. Its open-grid structure provides ventilation and visibility while securely housing its occupant, with a natural, traditional aesthetic that highlights the organic qualities of the material.

The cage is built from aged three-year-old bamboo, giving it a warm, light beige color with a smooth, refined finish. The visible grain on the solid top and bottom plates adds texture, while the slender vertical slats form a delicate lattice around the central chamber.

Key features
- Open-grid design for airflow and clear viewing
- Solid bamboo top and bottom plates with visible grain
- Curved internal component serves as a perch or support

Type: Insect enclosure
Dimensions / Size: 93 mm tall, 60 mm wide, 80 mm long (elliptical base)
Materials: Bamboo
Finish / color: Light beige, polished

This cage suits larger-bodied singing insects, though the 8.2 mm spacing between strips may be too wide for smaller varieties like bamboo crickets. Its compact size fits comfortably in one hand, and the natural bamboo tone pairs well with other traditional or organic decor pieces.

Occasions
- Observing katydids or similar singing insects at home
- Displaying a natural, handcrafted accent piece on a shelf
- Housing insects during seasonal observation or study
- Gifting to an insect enthusiast who values traditional materials

Care
- Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct moisture or humidity
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated area when not in use

Handmade note: This enclosure is handcrafted from bamboo, so slight variations in grain and finish may occur.
