This is a handmade surgical-style scrub cap in a soft light gray-blue cotton fabric, printed with an all-over pattern of whimsical, storybook-like cats. The cap is cut as a rounded, dome-shaped crown with gentle vertical panel seams that give it a softly gathered, puffed silhouette at the back, allowing the fabric to fall in natural folds rather than sitting flat against the head. The overall construction is a double-layer elastic cap, with two plies of fabric creating a fuller, more opaque body and a clean, comfortable inner contact surface against the hair and skin.
The material is a pure cotton fabric with a smooth, matte, tightly woven surface; the close-up views reveal the fine regular warp-and-weft grid characteristic of cotton poplin or cotton lawn, with a soft hand and a slight natural surface grain rather than any coating or sheen. The fabric is described as skin-friendly and breathable pure cotton, and the printed motif sits flat on the weave with clean, crisp edges to each illustration and a soft, slightly matte ink finish that matches the fabric's low-lustre surface. Because the cap is double-layered, the outer printed layer and the inner layer combine for opacity, so the pale cotton lining does not show through from the outside.
The print features a scattered arrangement of stylized cats in oval and circular medallions alongside free-standing cat figures. Coloration is a muted, vintage-inspired palette: golden honey and ochre ginger tabbies, cream and off-white cats with chocolate-brown or charcoal-gray patches, soft sage-green foliage accents, dusty peach and blush tones, and pale sand-yellow borders, all set against the cool gray-blue ground. Recurring design elements include cats wearing straw hats with small bows, a seated gray tabby, a black-and-white spotted cat curled inside a decorative oval frame, a ginger tabby painting at a small wooden easel, sleeping cats on shelves, clusters of tiny flowers and berries, delicate white sparkle or star specks, dotted oval borders, and small rectangular plaque-like panels containing three rounded hearts in a pale cream field. A second plain bound-edge option is available in place of the lace trim.
