Item details

Barware items included: Coasters
Barware material: Ceramic
Coaster features: Reusable
Color pattern: Black
Shape: Round

This circular ceramic coaster and decorative plate is formed from raw black clay and features a hand-carved water ripple pattern across its surface. The distressed black and white palette, with white pigment settled into the carved grooves, gives it an aged, vintage print-like look that feels both minimalist and rustic.

The piece is wheel-thrown, as shown by the concentric throwing rings on its unglazed underside, and its matte, coarse finish emphasizes the natural character of the clay. The flat disc shape with a slightly raised, rounded edge offers a sturdy, substantial feel.

The thick, coarse pottery provides a stable, non-slip surface that holds mugs or teapots securely. Its generous diameter offers ample space, making it a practical addition to a tea setting or a simple accent for a shelf or tabletop.

Use as a coaster under a hot mug during quiet mornings
Display small objects like rings or keys on a bedside table
Set under a teapot as part of a casual tea tray arrangement
Place as a standalone decorative piece on a mantel or desk

Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth

Handle gently to preserve the carved surface and natural clay texture

This piece is handmade, so minor variations in the clay texture and carving details are part of its unique character.
