This is a handcrafted leather ring binder notebook cover presented in two complementary natural leathers, identified as Pueblo in its original undyed color and Liscio in its original undyed color. Both leathers share a warm, pale honey-tan shade with subtle tonal variation across the grain surface, ranging from soft light ochre to slightly deeper caramel patches where the hide naturally darkens. The Pueblo face panels display a distinctive milled, lightly pebbled and slightly waxy matte texture with faint cloudy mottling, while the Liscio panels present a smoother, more even napped matte surface, giving the piece a restrained two-tone natural palette that will patina and deepen with use. The overall silhouette is a tall portrait rectangle with softly rounded outer corners and a gently flared fore-edge flap, echoing the classic Japanese-style traveler and planner binder aesthetic.
The binding hardware is a Krause silver six-ring binder mechanism with a 20 mm ring diameter, a bright polished chrome or nickel-plated finish with mirror-like reflective highlights, and visible engraved markings on the central spine plate confirming the Krause hardware. The six rings are evenly spaced along the vertical center spine and are set into a reinforced leather spine channel flanked by raised stitched leather rails that run the full height of the cover. The ring span is designed to accommodate page inserts measuring 95 × 171 mm, and the images show a substantial refill block of white paper held securely within the rings, demonstrating the cover's capacity for thick page stacks while still closing flat.
Construction is detailed and fully hand-finished, with the stated saddle stitching executed by hand throughout. The saddle stitch runs in a neat, tightly spaced diagonal pattern along the entire perimeter of the outer cover, around each pocket edge, along the spine rails, and across the reinforcement straps, with matching tan-brown waxed thread that sits slightly recessed into the leather. The piece is described as being pricked or punched from both sides, meaning the stitch holes are cleanly aligned through the full leather thickness for a consistent, even seam on both the exterior and the interior. All edges are carefully polished and sealed with burnishing, producing smooth, rounded, subtly glossy edges that contrast with the matte body of the leather.
The interior organization includes multiple functional compartments visible in the open view: on the left panel there are stacked horizontal pockets, including a large document pocket and a dedicated rounded-rectangle card or ID window pocket, while the right panel features a large full-height pocket with a diagonal notched opening and an additional lower pocket, all edged with the same continuous hand saddle stitching.
