This is an A7-format bifold ring planner cover, presented in the classic compact planner size of approximately 74 mm by 105 mm when closed, corresponding to the A7 paper standard. The exterior shell is crafted from Barenia leather in a deep ebony-brown shade, a smooth, fine-grained leather with a soft satin sheen and a subtly waxy, matte-to-satin surface that catches light gently rather than producing sharp glare. The interior and the pen loop are lined in Sully leather in a milkshake-white tone, a markedly lighter, softer-appearing leather with a fine, closely pebbled texture, providing a deliberate two-tone contrast against the dark brown exterior. All edges are finished with double wave edge paint sealing, producing a smooth, sealed, slightly glossy lacquered rim that follows every contour.
Construction is executed with hand saddle stitching in a contrasting white or cream thread, worked through double-sided pricking so that the stitch line is evenly perforated and consistently slanted on both faces of the leather. A continuous white dashed saddle-stitch line runs around the entire perimeter of the cover, following the rounded corners and leaving a uniform margin from the edge. The most distinctive decorative feature is a long vertical cross-stitch panel running down the front cover, composed of repeated X-shaped stitches in white thread that form a neat column of interlocking diamonds, echoing the hand-stitched aesthetic of the perimeter seam. The stitching is dense, regular, and evenly tensioned, with no loose threads or irregular stitch lengths visible.
The binder mechanism is a silver Krause 20-ring system, marked with the Krause maker's engraving on the chrome-finished ring spine; it is mounted centrally inside the cover and provides capacity for standard A7 ring-bound refills, inserts, and dividers. The rings are polished metal with a bright mirror-like finish and smooth hinged openings. The cover is held closed by a black woven elastic band that wraps around the body and passes through the spine, finished with a round leather badge showing an embroidered cat face in black, white, and tan thread, mounted on a dark leather disc backing.
