A closer look
This mineral landscape ornament is assembled from naturally occurring crystal specimens, presented as a sculptural miniature scene. The composition is built primarily from black tourmaline, orange-yellow calcite crystal, and Brazilian white crystal clusters, arranged by hand so that the individual pieces interlock and layer like a rocky terrain. The result is intended both as a decorative accent for the home and as a display piece for mineral specimen collecting.
The focal element is a large orange calcite crystal cluster with a warm salmon-to-apricot tone, its points sharply terminated and translucent, showing internal fracture planes that scatter light into pale peach and cream highlights. The same cluster carries a rough, granular matrix at its base where small druzy crystal formations accumulate, giving a matte, earthy contrast to the glassy faces of the larger terminations. Close examination reveals visible internal veils, hairline fractures and faint orange-brown mineral dusting across the crystal surfaces, along with scattered chipped or abraded edges where the raw crystal faces meet.
Supporting the central cluster are clear to milky Brazilian white crystal points, some perfectly transparent with glassy faces and subtle internal rainbow reflections, others slightly frosted or containing smoky-grey veils. A small polished clear quartz sphere sits among the stones, its smooth glossy surface picking up bright specular highlights and contrasting with the rough faceted points around it. The rear
